The Plastic Blade Assembler and Packer is responsible for stacking and packing plastic blades into their correct boxes and preparing them for shipment. They are accountable to follow all applicable safety practices and will possibly be responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of screws, Loctite, packaging supplies, etc. Must be able to assemble and pack product according to specification.


The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Ensure safety by complying with all applicable roles and procedures
  • Identify issues that arise and find opportunities for improvement
  • Countersinking plastic blades
  • Lasering backing plates
  • Removing oil from bars prior to assembling
  • Assembling plastic blades using Locktite, screws, etc. and allowing to dry the designated time
  • Checking stock levels of consumable materials each week and submitting replenishment request to purchasing
  • Maintaining appropriate levels of packaging materials
  • Packing and strapping product according to specification
  • Print labels for packaging on demand
  • Reporting all unusable materials to purchasing
  • Perform other duties as assigned

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand for long periods of time. The employee is occasionally required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risk of electrical shock, and explosives. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. However, in some instances this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary.

In some instances, this job may require work in areas where ear protection is necessary. If ear protection is required, it must meet OSHA’s Hearing Protection Requirements. The employee is required to wear steel-toed shoes or boots, safety glasses that meet OSHA and ANSI Standards for maximum eye protections, and gloves that meet OSHA Standards for hand protections.
